Pre Conditioned Air
DABICO has led the development of aircraft ground cooling systems for five decades.
DABICO is the only supplier of fully integrated PCA systems and the broadest offering with either Point of Use (DX PCA) or Central system (AHU or DX-Hybrid) and in full compliance with IATA AHM974 and AHM997. All electrical, fixed or mobile, Dabico PCA improve the airport’s environmental footprint.
DABICO PCAir system was the world’s first approved AHM997 installation in 2009 at Bahrain International Airport.
Our 8,500 PCA worldwide installed base ensures aircraft APUs can be switched off including the harshest ambient conditions such as in the Middle East or South East Asia. We design and engineer our PCA systems based on the most challenging industry standards in compliance with ASHRAE and AHM.
We optimise the entire system design including power requirement and air distribution flow and temperature from the PCA outlet up to the aircraft PCA inlets. Our engineering guarantees that we meet every single aircraft cooling requirement up to the Airbus A380. DABICO’s unrivalled PCA in-ground pits systems boost the overall system performance and ensure better passenger comfort on board the aircraft.

DABICO Commercial fuel hydrant pit assemblies house hydrant valves, which are provided with on/off or pressure/flow control when in operation. Available as a one or two-piece(environmental) design with bottom or side entry pipe-work, pits are manufactured in either high-grade fibreglass GRP or fabricated steel, which is internally/externally coated.
All DABICO fuel hydrant pits comply with all necessary EI specifications and JIG standards, including JIG Bulletin 90.
Central AHU
Series PAC – Light-weight air handlers connected to a central chilled water plant with 1 or 2 water circuits (EGW or CW+EGW). Designed as per AHM974 in ratings from 30T to 90T to service a full range of aircraft from the narrow body through the new A380 configuration.
Central DX-Hybrid PCA
Series DX-Arctic – Hybrid Air handler with 2 cooling stages (water circuit with central chilled water plant and vapour cycle direct expansion). Designed as per AHM974 in ratings from 30T to 90T to service a full range of aircraft from the narrow body through the A380 configuration.
Central Subfreezing DX-Hybrid PCA
Series DX-Arctic Sub-Z – Hybrid Air handler with 3 to 4 cooling stages (water circuit with central chilled water plant and vapour cycle direct expansion). Designed as per AHM997 in ratings to service a full range of aircraft from the narrow body through the A380 configuration with a minimum discharge temperature of -25°C (-13°F).
Central Subfreezing PCAir
Series Pre-compressed Air – Brayton cycle with expanded pre-compressed air system generated from a central compressed air central room and distributed to PCA expanders. Designed as per AHM997 and with less than 1.7g water/kg dry air and in ratings to service a full range of aircraft from the narrow body through the A380 configuration with a minimum discharge temperature of -25°C (-13°F).
PCA In-ground Pits
In-ground PCA Pop-up & Hatch pit systems serve as a user-friendly storage device for pre-conditioned air hoses (up to 2) and other facilities, such as potable water supply. Located very close to the aircraft inlets, they are the optimum solution for reducing the cooling losses and pressure drops ensuring a faster aircraft pull-down.

We build customised designs for PCA hoses and connectors available in multiple configurations and materials according to the selected PCA Ground Connection system in which they are integrated (E.g. Manual or motorised PCA hose reels, PCA in-ground pits). Included in this range are the Sub-freezing PCA hose and connector as per AHM997.
