Nader Mettawa

Nader is a Senior Corporate and Commercial Counsel with circa 25 years' experience in the Middle East and internationally, with significant experience advising on major energy projects from upstream to downstream (including construction) in the UAE, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Libya, Oman, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. During his career, he has held senior roles (General Counsel, Compliance Officer, and Board/Company Secretary) at major corporations, including ADNOC, Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy), Oman Oil Company, Serco Middle East, National Petroleum Construction Company, and now serves as a consultant Group General Counsel to Dabico Airport Solutions.

His other areas of practice include joint ventures, acquisitions, restructuring and financing, disputes, insurance, shipping and transport, regulatory matters, employment, business development, compliance, and corporate governance.

Nader is a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Liverpool University, United Kingdom, and is bilingual in English and Arabic.
